The fleet was back at Royal Perth Yacht Club for the Metro series Heat 2, racing for the Max Hayes Memorial Trophy. The predicted light winds never arrived, instead leaving everyone to contended with a blustery north easterly. Elusive took an early lead, but was chased down by Itinerant. They then managed to establish a sizable lead over the rest of the fleet, coming home first and fastest, with Farrlap second and Elusive third.
